Photo-ethnographies

Photo-ethnographies attempt to give voice to the people I photograph. For the most part, each series focuses on individuals whose only commonality is their belonging to a group often misrepresented or invisible in public discourses. By showing the individuality, beauty, and resilience in each of the people I photograph it is my intention to collaborate in the continuous and arduous work of dismantling the stereotypes that systematically contribute to diminishing their humanity and to increasing barriers despite their awesomeness.
